Software Engineering Intern – Laboratory Test Digitalisation

SCOPE OF THE ROLE
Position Summary: As part of the continuous improvement of quality-management traceability, the intern will help design, develop and deploy a modern solution for capturing, storing, securing, processing and analysing laboratory test results. The solution will first be implemented at SRC and then adapted for other SEDIVER laboratories and technical centres worldwide.
Internship details: Final-year internship / master’s thesis internship (PFE)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyse user needs and existing laboratory processes, then define the functional and technical architecture
- Design an intuitive interface and develop the software or application together with its database
- Automate test calculations, controls and reports, ensuring secure and reliable data management
- Perform testing, validation and deployment at SRC; train users and prepare technical and user documentation
- Identify site-specific requirements and adapt the solution for other SEDIVER laboratories and technical centers
- Support multi-site deployment and the standardisation of methods for entering and using test results
- Collaborate regularly in English with international stakeholders across the SEDIVER Group
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience / Skills:
- Final-year engineering student in Computer Science or Software Engineering (master’s degree / Bac+5 level).
- Hands-on software development skills in Python, C#/.NET, Java and/or web technologies.
- Working knowledge of SQL databases and user-interface ergonomics.
- Ability to contribute to a software project throughout its lifecycle, from needs analysis to testing, deployment and user training.
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Previous international exposure, such as an internship abroad, an Erasmus programme, an international semester or a multicultural project, is highly valued.
- Interest in industrial environments, laboratory operations and quality-management systems.
